The boot works as it should. It’s a boot. Good sole, good fabric, decent lining.What I don’t like is how stiff the back of the heel is; after a day of walking rounds at campsites or just around the property it seems to rub it. The tongue will slip a bit too; I think there should be a hook on it for the laces.It *is* a solid boot and it doesn’t slip on rocks or mossy pavers, and it works really well for my motorcycles with a good hook for the shifter, and comfortable in the heat and cold while camping or brief hikes. Playing with the kids at the playground it handles well, and climbing rocks you are “sure footed” and good ankle support. The laces themselves frayed but only after some severe abuse, they are pretty solid. I was looking for something that heat wouldn’t bake the soles into a solid slippery mess; it handled the Texas summers on the asphalt and oil on the roads.It’s nothing like milspec footwear; don’t expect to run a marathon in them or stand around for hours at a time without cushion inserts and it doesn’t vent as well as others in the extreme heat, yet better than anything you buy at a department store.
I usually buy Magnums, or Clark Boots, but these Magnum’s disappointed me. The left boot kills my ankle, to the point where I do not wear them anymore. I have purchased other magnum boots since and this one did not meet my standards.

Excellent Quality for the Money. Would definitely recommend Purchase. For informational purposes, this particular Boot runs a “little” large, which in my past Boot Shoe style purchases is unusual.

This boot was not what I was expecting, I searchs for a ultra lite work boot. This work boot is not lite by no means.The boot is heavy! Also they did not place “speed laces” at the last three holes at the top. This makes a work boot slow to lace and tie every morning when trying to get to work. Would not have bought these boots if I could have look at and tried them first!
Tried to break them in by wearing them around the house, but that did not work. I had to return the shoes asap!
I’ve been buying Magnum boots for as long as I can remember, and the boots have always lasted longer than needed.I guarantee though, since these are Made in China, they won’t last a year.As with everything, the price went up, whereas the quality has gone down. These boots should only cost half of what were paying; I’ve always paid the $100 price tag because they weren’t made in China, and this really ticks me off.Of course, since they came from China, they are covered in some sort of poison, so immediately after removing them from the box, my dog decided to lick one and became extremely ill.I will no longer buy Magnum boots, but instead will visit the local Redwings supplier when I am in need since they don’t poison their customers like some worthless yellow rice terrorist.
Fit was fine, though I find I am between a wide and regular width. Tightening a little more helps. Have been wearing Magnums since 1993 so I have worn many of their models, these, are nice and light. Wear ok, and broke in in 2 days. Only 3 stars as I still prefer the 8″.
I’m sorry I wasted my money on this pair of boots, it was extremely uncomfortable to wear and took way too long to arrive.
